They say New York is the city that never sleeps.
But for years, photojournalist and Weekly contributor Stephen McKenzie could visit Manhattan only in his dreams – mostly vain attempts to reach the World Trade Centre’s twin towers.
Last month, after six visits to New York, a cheerier dream came true for him.
Three of McKenzie’s photographs were chosen by the See.Me collective for inclusion in The Story of the Creative, a NYC exhibition of multimedia works by international artists. The show runs until September 10.
It gets better: from August 9 to 16, McKenzie has a solo show at Brooklyn’s Urban Folk Art Gallery.
If good things really come in threes, the Guggenheim might be in touch one day soon.
