Westmeadows’ women’s take out first division 2 win

Westmeadows’ women’s team got back on the pitch this weekend, taking out their first win of the North West Metropolitan Cricket Association division 2 competition.

The Warriors played against Oak Park in their first challenge since being promoted to division 2, after taking out the title for division 4 last season.

The Warriors made 3-133 off their 20 overs.

Melissa Robinson was the top scorer, making 25 runs not out.

Oak Park were bowled out by the Warriors for 106.

Cortni Buchanan, Emma Osborne, De’arne Devereux-Arena, and Natalia Takavada each took out one wicket for the Warriors.

The Warriors will face Gellibrand this coming weekend.
