More than 60 motorists were given a preliminary puff-bag test while others were detained and will be charged with a variety of traffic and other offences.

Pressure from Planning Minister Justin Madden gave Wyndham Council no option but to approve the rezoning of land for a 2000-home estate west of Werribee on Monday night. The decision to approve the rezoning for the 197-hectare Riverwalk estate on former Melbourne Water land, home to Werribee’s B24 bomber, came despite grave concerns that the city will struggle to cope with resulting traffic chaos and the influx of 6000 residents.
