Former AFL star and Dancing With The Stars winner David Rodan has signed with Northern Football League club West Preston Lakeside for two years.
Rodan put pen to paper last week and will play full-time for the Roosters as they look to return to finals under new coach Leigh Cole.
The exciting forward played 185 games for Richmond, Port Adelaide and Melbourne. He already has a connection with the club, working with the Roosters’ social welfare program.
President Paul McInerney said West Preston was delighted to have him on board – he nearly signed on for the 2014 season before bowing to other commitments.
“It is really great for us,” he said. “On field he will have a big impact and it will be the same off field as well.
“He is a 120 per cent sort of person and last year he wasn’t prepared to play only a few games.
“But now he is really excited to be back playing.”
