Commonwealth Games: Miao and Lay win silver in table tennis doubles

Bundoora’s Jian Fang Lay and Broadmeadows Miao Miao have won silver in the women’s table tennis doubles event.

The pair won their semi final 3-0 to make it through to the gold medal match.

Unfortunately they couldn’t continue their form in the gold medal match, losing 4-1.

Both were part of Australia’s women’s team which won bronze earlier in the games.

Lay missed out on a medal in the singles, losing in the bronze medal match.

Miao and Lay won bronze in the doubles event at the 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games.
