Hotel has room for everybody

Service of the highest quality is not reserved for the valued guests of Mantra Hotel Tullamarine, it’s extended to the surrounding community.

Mantra’s extensive network of hotels, resorts and apartments across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia offers ideal accommodation when travelling for work
or leisure.

Whether you’re flying in or flying out, Mantra Tullamarine is the perfect stopover for travellers looking for a modern hotel just minutes from Melbourne Airport.

General manager Rob Everett says Mantra prides itself on delivering friendly service and impeccable rooms. Most of the hotel’s staff live nearby in Tullamarine or Broadmeadows, which Everett says is one of the core values of Mantra’s business philosophy.

“It means a lot to us to have employees who live in the area, because they are our best source of knowledge,’’ he says.

‘‘As an employer, it’s great to be able to get involved in the community and give back to the people who continue to support Mantra.”

Mantra Tullamarine’s state-of-the-art conference and events centre is ideal for weddings, meetings, corporate and social functions and training seminars. Food and beverage manager Michelle Grieve joined Mantra in 2011, having worked in hospitality since she was 16.

She leads a team of 30 dedicated staff who cater to the culinary needs of hotel clients from 5am to 1.30am.

“Mantra Hotel is very community focused and we have a great program for students enrolled in hospitality courses, which offers practical industry experience,” Grieve says.

More than 30 per cent of students taking part in the program go on to have a career in hospitality. “All of the students are from this area and it gives me great pleasure seeing the kids coming in and watching them grow within the hospitality industry,’’ Grieve says.

‘‘They may start off in food and beverage roles and then progress to supervisors and managers. This industry offers many opportunities to travel anywhere in Australia, and there’s no cap on what you can achieve.”

Mantra Hotel Tullamarine, corner Melrose Drive and Trade Park Drive, Tullamarine, open 24 hours, seven days. Inquiries:
