A JOYFUL TIME OF YEAR

Organised by Whittlesea Business Group, the Christmas on Church night is a fun and free event offering plenty of activities for families, including a visit from Santa, face painting, jumping castle, a sword-swallowing performer, children’s petting zoo, balloons, and more than 20 home-made and local craft and activity stalls. On tomorrow, 5.30-7.30pm, at Church Street, Whittlesea.

POSE WITH SANTA

Visit the Centre Court at Westfield Plenty Valley and have your photo taken with Santa for a unique Christmas gift for family and friends. COUNTRY VIBES

Get ready for some great live acts at the Whittlesea Country Music Festival. Starts with a free street party in Church Street, with stalls, animal nursery, face-painting, boot scooting and other fun activities for children. Two stages will run from 10am to 4pm, featuring great country music, a buskers’ challenge and talent showcase. From 5-9.30pm, there’s a free Twilight with the Stars concert at the Whittlesea Cricket Ground with performances by Jetty Road, Christie Lamb, Greg Champion and headliner Glenn Shorrock of The Little River Band. Fireworks are at 9pm. On Saturday, February 8. Free.

CRAFT TOTE

If your children need a bag for their library books or a travel bag when going on day trips these school holidays, then take them along to this workshop where they can decorate a handy bag to carry their belongings.
