Ladder leader Edinburgh gives Jacana a lesson

Edinburgh was too good for Jacana in the CV Women’s Community Cricket north‐west division on Saturday.

The ladder leaders, who have only lost once this season, flexed their muscles with both bat and ball against the seventh‐placed Jaguars.

Sent in, the Jaguars were all out for 74, with extras topping the scorecard with 29, while Jodie Boyde made 24.

Edinburgh needed only 18.2 over the make the required runs, finishing on 1‐75.

Kylie Finn took the only wicket for the Jaguars.

Craigieburn cemented its spot in the top four with victory over Spotswood.

After making only 72 themselves, Craigieburn then bowled out Spotswood for 52.

Litara Va’auli top‐scored for Craigieburn with 31, while Tracy Armstrong, Rebecca Lines and

Dianna Cachia took three wickets each in Spotswood’s innings.

Meanwhile, in Women’s Premier Cricket Plenty Valley lost to Prahran.

Needing 102 for victory, the Bats reached 7‐96.

Hayley Neville top‐scored with 26.
