Erika Livermore is set to provide some extra height and presence in the paint for Hume City Broncos.
The Broncos announced on Monday that Livermore has signed with the club for the rest of the Big V state championship division.
Livermore, who is from Pennsylvania, played for Fairleigh Dickinson Knights’ College side from the 2011-12 season through to 2015-16 season. The Knights’ played in NCAA Division 1 in the North-East Conference (NEC).
In her senior year she averaged 16.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Knights and was selected in the first team All-NEC for a third time.
She graduated in 2016 as the third highest scorer and second leading rebounder in program history.
After finishing college, Livermore joined Leicester Riders in the Women’s British Basketball League, where she averaged over 18 points and 8 rebounds per game. The Riders finished runners-up in the WBBL championship and trophy.
Livermore’s arrival couldn’t have come at a better time for the Broncos that have lost their last six games and currently sit seventh.
It’s the second import the Broncos have added in recent weeks, with the return three-time reigning MVP Colleen Planeta rejoining the side.
The Broncos next game is against Bulleen Boomers on Saturday night.
