Epping has landed its first win of the year beating Lalor in the Northern Football League division 3 competition.
In the club’s first hit out after being relegated, the Pingers defeated the Bloods, 15.17 (107)-8.8 (56) on Good Friday.
The Bloods, who were win less last year, only trailed by 18 at the half time, before the Pingers surged away with and eight to three goal second half.
Jordan Wilkins, Lucas Aquilina, Sebastian Latina, Liam Waldron, Michael Gillard and Adrian Alfonsi were all named in the best for the winning side.
The rest of round one in division 3 is this weekend.
Meanwhile in division 1, Greensborough beat Eltham, 15.19 (109)-9.6 (60).
