EDFL: Adam McPhee is Greenvale’s new coach

Greenvale has announced Adam McPhee will step up as head coach to succeed Anthony Rock next year.

McPhee lined up as a player for Greenvale last season after an AFL career of 223 games with Fremantle and Essendon.

Rock won back-to-back premierships with Greenvale. Next season he will join VAFA outfit St Bernards.

McPhee’s appointment maintains strong AFL ties in the EDFL for next season with several ex-AFL players coaching in premier division. Mal Michael will lead Aberfeldie, Adam Contessa is at Airport West, Brodie Holland (Maribyrnong Park), Mick McGuane (Keilor) and Marcus Barham (Essendon Doutta Stars).

Aberfeldie is farewelling club captain Daniel Mangan as he joins Tullamarine, and former Essendon VFL player Dave Fahey and former Richmond player Daniel Connors, who are both joining VFL club Port Melbourne.
