A five-wicket haul for Dominic Reed helped Greenvale extract Melbourne Uni for 204 on day one of the Premier Cricket clash between the teams at University Oval.
Reed’s 5-68 and 3-38 for Peter Manser had Melbourne Uni out in the shadows of stumps, with Greenvale surviving one over to be 0-1 at the close.
One partnership held Melbourne Uni’s innings together, with William Shute (58) and Jarrod Martignago (53) putting on 112 for the fifth wicket.
Greenvale will resume its run chase on Saturday.
