A Whittlesea Show for all generations

Agriculture and farming skills passed down through the generations will be celebrated at this year’s Whittlesea Show.

The show, which is on November 2-3, is celebrating its 160th anniversary this year and will be showcasing the talents of the Whittlesea community.

Show secretary Rose Stark said the theme of this year’s show is generation to generation.

“Throughout the various pavilions, and even the grand parade, you will see exhibitors weaving this theme through their displays,” she said. “In the homecrafts and cookery pavilion there will be a celebration of the generation to generation theme across the arts and crafts and baked good entries and even special awards for competitors.”

The show will also feature demonstrations from the CFA and SES, a show jumping competition, a performance from Eroni’s circus, a wood chopping competition, an animal nursery and Victoria’s Strongest Man and Woman competition.

There will also be a grand parade at 3pm each day at the main arena, showcasing horses, bulls and vintage machinery. The show will be held at the Whittlesea Showgrounds from 9am-5pm each day. Details: whittleseashow.org.au
