A $138,390 playground upgrade at Ashley Park Primary School is one of three Whittlesea projects to be funded under the state government’s Minor Capital Works Fund.
Mernda Central P-12 College will receive a new bike shed and Laurimar Primary School will get an upgraded staff room to accommodate increased staff numbers, as part of the funding.
Yan Yean MP Danielle Green said the projects were important work for the schools.
“We’re making sure that our schools have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and that every child is given every chance to succeed,” Ms Green said.
“Whittlesea families are a step closer to getting the great local school facilities their kids need to thrive.”
The Minor Capital Works Fund has allocated funding to more than 300 Victorian government schools to improve learning environments, and the condition and character of schools.
