Motorists should prepare for traffic disruptions during their travels this weekend, with the transport department notifying of road closures.
The Hume Freeway ramp to Edgars Road, Greensborough-bound will be closed until early this year.
The closure is to allow upgrade works as part of the M80 Upgrade project.
Detours are in place via Cooper Street and Edgars road, the department said.
The M80 Upgrade will widen the freeway, widen on and off ramps and install a new freeway management system along 38km of road from Laverton North to Greensborough.
