Artist Juz Millsom hopes her 45-metre mural in the centre of a new Wollert estate will help bring the community together.
Millsom painted her ‘Seasons of Rathdowne’ mural near the Rathdowne estate sales centre on behalf of developers Villawood Properties.
The playful piece features kites, letters and paper planes, butterflies, plants, leaves and lots of eyelashes.
Millsom said she hopes the mural will create a conversation within the Rathdowne community and create a sense of culture and connectivity.
“Art is no airy-fairy thing. It has the power to totally transform an environment,” she said.
“Art and colour is often neglected or forgotten when designing environments and leaves places feeling a little bleak and soulless.
“The heart of this mural is the future community of Rathdowne and we wanted the community to be able to interact with it.
“If my art can make a positive impact on even just one person’s day, I’ve done my job.”
