A Craigieburn man was among three arrested after a stolen car was followed in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Police were informed the Isuzu D-Max utility had been stolen from Bell Street, Preston, about 1pm on Monday.

The Isuzu was then sighted on Pascoe Vale Road and the Air Wing followed the vehicle before it eventually entered the Princess Freeway.

Civilian cars attempted to box in the Isuzu and as a result police took action, approaching the stolen car which subsequently collided with several police vehicles and came to a stop.

Three people were arrested at the scene.

The 23-year-old Craigieburn man, as well as a 20-year-old Gowanbrae man and a 20-year-old Heathcote man who were also arrested are assisting investigators with their inquiries.

No one was injured in the incident.
