New childcare centres flagged for Hume’s north

Two more childcare centres are set to open their doors in Hume in the next two years.

Developer Stockland will build the centres at its Highlands estate in Craigieburn and Cloverton estate in Kalkallo, with construction to start next year.

The centres are expected to open in early 2020.

The Craigieburn centre will cost  $3.3 million and will be built on Marathon Boulevard opposite Oscar Romero Catholic Primary School.

The $3.4 million Cloverton childcare centre will be built next to the estate’s sales and information centre on the corner of Dwyer Street and Design Way.

The centres will be run by Green Leaves Early Learning.

Stockland communities general manager Ben Cantwell said the new centres would provide a major boost for the two communities.

He said the centres were part of Stockland’s commitment to providing key infrastructure close to home.

“Stockland’s strategy is to build the best communities in the country and we are excited to be extending our expertise into the construction of early learning facilities,” Mr Cantwell said.

“The new early learning centres are marvellous news for the families … who are moving to both our Cloverton and Highlands communities.”
