New administrator announced for Whittlesea council

A new administrator has been appointed to Whittlesea council.

Former Hobsons Bay council chief executive Chris Eddy will join Lydia Wilson and Peita Duncan on the council’s panel of administrators.

His appointment follows the resignation of former administrator Bruce Billson earlier this year.

Mr Eddy most recently worked as interim chief executive at LGPro Victoria from July last year until March 2021.

He was chief executive at Hobsons Bay council from 2012-2018.

Ms Wilson said she was pleased to welcome Mr Eddy and acknowledged his experience in the sector.

“Administrator Duncan and I are really looking forward to working together with Mr Eddy, as the panel of administrators continue to provide the organisation with governance stability and representing our rapidly growing and diverse community,” Ms Wilson said.

The panel of administrators will act as the council until the next local government election in October 2024.
