A power supply issue has disrupted train services on the Mernda train line.

Buses are replacing trains between Reservoir and Epping.

Train services will continue to operate between Epping and Mernda, and between Flinders Street and Reservoir.

Public Transport Victoria (PTV) said there have been intermittent issues with boom gates stuck down at the level crossings on both Station Street and Settlement Road in Thomastown and on Keon Parade, Reservoir.

PTV said passengers should check station platform displays and listen for announcements, and allow for additional time for their journey.

Authorised officers would assist passengers transferring between buses and trains.
