A Greenvale man has been charged with performing a Nazi salute to a group of schoolchildren at Melbourne Airport.
The Australian Federal Police allege that the 23-year-old performed the salute towards a group of Jewish school-aged children on Monday 2 February.
The alleged offender left the terminal after the incident and has since been identified as an airport employee who holds an aviation identity security card.
AFP police reviewed CCTV footage of the man and attended a Greenvale home on the same day.
The man will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 3 March.
The AFP said that if found guilty, the man will face up to five years’ imprisonment.
