Identity of body found in Dallas still unknown

Police have set up an information caravan in Dallas in a bid to identify a woman who was found dead at the tennis club earlier this month.

The woman’s body was found in the carpark of the Hepburn Street tennis club about 1.30pm on Friday, June 17.

The woman is believed to be of Middle Eastern appearance and aged in her 40s.

Police said she is 158cm tall with a slim-to-medium build.

She was wearing grey tracksuit pants and a grey hooded jumper.

Her body was wrapped in what appeared to be a blanket.

Police said that a distinctive item of clothing was found with the woman, which may be a brown head scarf with distinctive black beading.

The information caravan is on Blair Street.

Police will hand out flyers and have released facial composites of the woman and the clothing in the hope that someone will recognise her.

Investigators are urging anyone who knows the woman’s identity or has information about her death to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
