Get into the spirit of the festive season at Hume council’s carols by candlelight this Saturday.

The annual carols event at Craigieburn’s Anzac Park will be hosted by singer and actor Johnny Ruffo and will feature performances from local singers, as well pop group Chantoozies.

ABC Kids’ Bluey will also make a special appearance.

Hume mayor Carly Moore said more than 10,000 people are expected to attend the event.

“Each year, people gather at Anzac Park in Craigieburn to enjoy the free and family friendly Hume Carols by Candlelight,” she said.

“We have some of Australia’s best entertainers to get you into the spirit of the season.

“I’m looking forward to seeing Craigieburn Anzac Park full of families, enjoying the music, food and free entertainment.”

The carols start at 5pm and will finish with a firework display at 9.20pm.

A free community bus service will be available to pick up residents from designated locations around Hume.
