The garage of a house in Roxburgh Park has been destroyed by fire following a blaze last night.
Fire Rescue Victoria firefighters responded to reports of smoke and flames coming from the single storey garage in Turia Grove at 8.30pm.
Firefighters remained on the scene until Wednesday morning to make sure the fire was completely extinguished.
Fire Rescue Victoria said the fire threatened to spread to the rest of the house,
The occupant was able to safely evacuate before firefighters arrived on the scene.
The garage was destroyed and an investigation found the blaze had spread to the roof space of the house.
FRV’s specialist fire investigators will be attending the scene today to analyse and work out the cause of the fire.
