Call to shout a healthcare worker their coffee

The Northern Hospital Foundation is encouraging the community to be a part of a ‘shout a coffee’ campaign before it ends.

The foundation is asking residents to donate online and shout a coffee for a healthcare worker, to show support during their shifts.

Nurse unit manager Jacqueline Harper said showing support for people working through challenging times was important

“The dedication from all of our staff at Northern Health throughout the pandemic and the regularly changing landscapes, the small tokens often mean the most,” she said.

“It’s amazing how a small token of a coffee to say thank you can make the world of difference.

“For staff knowing that the community cares, and is supporting them from home means so much.”

The campaign will run until November 30.
