Man shot in leg after dispute at Fawkner apartment

A man was shot in the leg after a dispute at a Fawkner apartment block on Sunday.

Victoria Police spokesman, Senior Constable Adam West, said that the man was injured during an altercation with another man inside a unit in Sydney Road, near Disney Street.

He said that a man aged in his late 30s suffered a single wound to the upper leg.

‘‘We were called to the scene just before 4pm this afternoon,’’ he said.

‘‘He was taken, with a wound to the leg, in a stable condition to the Royal Melbourne Hospital.’’

Police believe the men are known to each other.
