Attempted armed robbery at Coolaroo business

Embona detectives from Fawkner are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a business in Coolaroo on Sunday morning.

Investigators were told two males, about 175 centimetres and of African appearance, entered the front door of a Motto Drive business about 12.30am.

One man confronted a 38-year-old staff member with an edged weapon and demanded cash, inflicting minor injuries to the staff member’s upper arm during the incident. 

Both offenders then ran from the business and left in a vehicle.
