North Ballarat Rebels got over the line against the Northern Knights with a five-goal-to-one final term. The Knights lost by 28 points at Eureka Stadium on Saturday, 11.18 (84) 8.8 (56). The Rebels led at the first change before the Knights hit back in the second term and took the lead into half time. An inaccurate third term by the Rebels meant the Knights were only four points behind at the final break, but the Rebels kicked away in the last. Liam Hunt was best for the Knights, and Zachary Ballard impressed.
The Knights have this weekend off with the opening round of the under-18 national championships getting under way.
