Have your say on Wollert buses

The state government is calling on residents to have their say on changes to bus services in Wollert and Epping before development plans are finalised.

Public and Active Transport Minister Gabrielle Williams said the buses will provide essential transport.

“We know how important bus connections are to families in growing areas like Wollert and Epping and we want to make sure we are delivering what they need,” she said,

“With these new bus services and free public transport for kids, families will save time and money, support that really matters right now.”

The proposed changes include a new bus service in eastern Wollert, and realigning route 357 to serve western Wollert around Yann Drive.

According to the state government, the changes will provide public transport services to more than 21,000 locals for the first time.

The proposed changes would also provide public transport to Al Sirrat College and Barrawang Primary School for the first time.

Mill Park MP Lily D’Ambrosio said residents are already looking forward to the services.

“Local residents are excited to know they’ll have new bus services closer to home.”

Thomastown MP Bronwyn Halfpenny said community consultation is important to ensure needs are met.

“Engaging with our local community ensures our bus network can continue to meet the needs of passengers and get locals to work, study and social activities easily.”

You can complete a short survey or attend one of the in-person pop-up sessions to have your say.
