Whittlesea lotto winner to share the love with life-changing windfall

A selfless Whittlesea man is set to turn a life-changing lottery win into a heartwarming gift for others, pledging to donate a significant amount of his $670,000 TattsLotto windfall to charity.

The generous man held one of 10 division one winning entries in Tattslotto draw 4579, drawn on Saturday, June 7.

His system 8 entry, purchased at newsXpress Whittlesea on Church Street, also scored multiple wins in lower divisions.

When contacted by The Lott with the news, the man was stunned.

“Thank you! Oh my!” he said, laughing.

“That’s a nice surprise for my morning. I’ve just gone for a walk and I’m having breakfast now. I wasn’t expecting this at all. Luckily, I’m sitting down. I might’ve fallen over!”

Rather than spending big, the humble local is thinking of others first.

“That’s amazing. I think a lot of it will go to charity. There are a lot less fortunate people than I, so I’d like to share the love,” he said.

“I’ll talk to my wife, and we can go through some charities we’d like to donate to. Thank you so much!”

His entry, which played 2x System 8 games, remarkably won division two six times, division three six times, division four 15 times and division six ten times.
