The Northern Knights have announced a new-look coaching set up for next year’s NAB League season.
Former Collingwood and Sydney player Anthony Rocca has been appointed head coach of the boys’ program, while Allana Dickie has been appointed head coach of the girls’ program.
Rocca booted 415 goals across 242 AFL games after being drafted from the Knights with pick two in the 1994 AFL draft.
He has served in development coach roles at Collingwood and North Melbourne for more than a decade since retiring at the conclusion of the 2009 AFL season.
Dickie was an assistant coach at the Calder Cannons this year and was also part of the AFL futures coaching panel.
She has previously served as an assistant coach for Williamstown’s VFLW side.
The coaching changes come as all regional pathways programs participating in the NAB League in Victoria and Tasmania will have a dedicated full-time coach for each of their boys and girls teams in 2023.
This year the boys and girls side had the same coach, with Leigh Clarke holding that role at the Knights.
