Firefighters were called to a fire in the roof of an Epping house on Monday night.
Fire Rescue Victoria crews were called to the Grimwade Court apartments to find that the fire had spread into multiple rooms.
Three occupants of the house had to be evacuated.
The incident was deemed under control within 20 minutes, with the tenants safely returning home about 11pm.
