National Children’s Week runs from October 22 to 30 and will be celebrating across Victoria, including in Hume and Whittlesea.

The week recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children.

This year’s theme is drawn from Article 27 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: “All children have the right to a standard of living that support their wellbeing and healthy development”.

During the week, councils, not-for-profit organisations, schools and early childhood services put on special days, events, virtual spaces, displays and online-based activities. Events are free to families with children aged from birth to 12 years old.
