Bundoora man charged

An alleged drug trafficker from Bundoora has been charged after detectives seized drugs and cash as part of an investigation into illegal trafficking of 1,4-Butanediol.

Police executed warrants at two residential addresses in Bundoora on April 26, but were unable to locate the alleged offender at the time.

They subsequently seized almost 100kgs of 1,4-Butanediol and a large amount of cash.

Police arrested the 31-year-old Bundoora man on June 16, after he was seen using his mobile phone while driving.

He has been charged with traffick large commercial quantity drug of dependence and remanded to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 8.

Police will allege that the man charged was involved in a syndicate of Chinese nationals illegally trafficking large commercial quantities of 1,4-Butanediol.
