Essendon continued its undefeated run in the Victorian Football League women’s competition after a thumping 73-point victory over Collingwood on Saturday at the NEC Hangar.
The Bombers put nine goals to one on the board in the second half to put the game to bed and sure up their eighth win of the season.
Federica Frew was impressive in front of goal scoring the most of any player with four, while Renee Tierney impacted with three goals and 18 touches.
The Bombers only led by three goals at half-time but were able to run home strong to win by 12 goals and a point, keeping the visitors scoreless in the third quarter and to seven points in the final quarter.
The keep the Bombers in second position of the ladder while the Casey Demons remain on top with nine wins.
The Bombers did record a draw with Southern Saints earlier in the season.
They will take on third placed Hawthorn next round.
