Police appeal following Meadow Heights alleged stabbing

Police are appealing for information following an alleged stabbing in Meadow Heights earlier this month.

Investigators have been told an 18-year-old man was sitting in a fast food restaurant’s outdoor area in Paringa Drive about 8pm on Wednesday, July 14, when a number of youths approached him and a fight occurred.

During the fight, the 18-year-old was allegedly stabbed in the stomach three times.

He was later taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the youths ran off and got into a silver coloured Nissan Navara, which was last seen mounting the median strip and heading north to Hudson Circuit.

Police have released images of a vehicle seen in the area at the time, and said they believe its occupants may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or with any other information or video footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
