An unattended candle is believed to be the cause of fire at a Craigieburn house on Sunday.
Fire Rescue Victoria and CFA crews were called to the Hamilton Street fire about 1am following calls to triple-0.
Firefighters arrived on scene in four minutes to find flames coming from the front two bedrooms of the house.
FRV said no one was home at the time.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the two front rooms of the house and brought the fire under control within 11 minutes.
An advice message was issued for residents in the nearby area.
