An art show is helping to brighten the walls at Arcare Waterview in Craigieburn.
The aged care centre will hold the exhibition from April 13-15 to celebrate World Art Day on April 15.
Lifestyle co-ordinator Kayla Garside said the centre’s residents usually visit an art museum to mark World Art Day – a trip that was not possible this year as a result of COVID-19.
Instead, residents have been busy creating art works to transform the centre into an art gallery.
Local artists and schoolchildren have also contributed works.
“It’s mainly about bringing the community in without them having to come into the facility,” Ms Garside said.
“With residents unable to go to shopping centre and art museums, it gives them a change in the facility…it gives them something to talk about.”
