Police are appealing for witnesses after a 6-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle in Epping on Tuesday night.
The boy was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators have been told the boy had exited a vehicle parked along Brush Road about 8.30pm on March 9.
It is believed the boy walked to the front of the vehicle and onto the road when he was struck by a white Nissan Patrol with New South Wales registration plates – DCA86E.
The driver stopped at the scene, provided their details and left before police arrived.
The male driver was believed to be Caucasian in appearance, in his late 20s, with scruffy hair and a short beard.
Police said that checks revealed the personal details provided at the scene by the driver were incorrect.
