Loved ones are mourning the death of 14-year-old Epping boy Jackson May Crocaris after he was hit by a car.

The teenager was struck and killed at the intersection of Ringwood Bypass and Ringwood Street near Eastland shopping centre in Melbourne’s east on Monday afternoon.

Jackson would have turned 15 years old next Sunday. One of his friends, Emma, told The Age the pair loved “kicking it” together.

“He’s going to be missed. Everybody loved him, he was like a little brother to all of us,” she said

Friends took to social media to remember the teenager.

The female driver of the vehicle has been exonerated, a Victoria Police spokesman said. She stopped at the scene about 4.20pm on Monday and was assisting police.
