Tullamarine held its nerve to beat Keilor by the narrowest of margins in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association’s senior division.
Tullamarine scored 187 and was bowled out with two balls remaining.
Tullamarine started well and progressed to 4-149, with opener Tom Ven Den Berg scoring 53. Pushing for runs late in the innings, the side lost late wickets.
The match went down to the final over, with Keilor bowled out with four balls remaining and a run short. Andrew Humphries was the best of the bowlers with 3-21.
Greenvale Kangaroos remain in the top four after getting past Doutta Stars.
Stars batted first, making 4-174 from their 40 overs. Tallan Wright took two wickets for the Kangaroos.
The Kangaroos started well and a win never looked in doubt as they posted 6-183.
Anthony Barton top scored with 57.
Former Brisbane Lions start Jonathan Brown played for ladder leader Yarraville Club against Strathmore. Brown took a wicket and didn’t bat in the Clubbers’ win.
In north-west A1, Westmeadows remains on top of the ladder after belting Altona Roosters.
The Warriors’ bowlers had a field day, skittling the Roosters for 74. Tarique Jeffrey took five wickets and Chanaka Welegedara took three.
The Warriors made the runs with ease and pushed on to make 9-156. Stephen McKay made 59.
The Warriors sit 5.72 points clear of second placed St Francis de Sales with three two-day matches remaining before the finals.
Craigieburn slipped to third with a loss to Pascoe Vale Hadfield, which is chasing a finals spot.
Pascoe Vale Hadfield made 7-161 from its 40 overs, with David Garvin the best of the Craigieburn bowlers with 3-33.
Not for the first time this season, the batsmen couldn’t get the job done for Craigieburn.
The Eagles finished with 8-146, left to rue poor running between wickets.
Captain-coach Ian Blanchett top scored with 26 before becoming the fourth Eagles player to be run out.

The Jaguars looked in trouble early – at 9-64, they were looking at an extremely early end to their innings.
But No.8 Alfassy Mohamed (41no) and No.11 Ryan McCawley (35) put on a last-wicket partnership of 77 to push the score to a respectable 141.
East Coburg looked to be cruising, and even at 6-89 seemed the likely winner.
The side pushed the score to 6-101 before losing 4-6 to be bowled out for 107. Jack Ottaway took 5-27.
Roxburgh Park Falcons suffered a big loss at the hands of Aberfeldie Park.
The Falcons made 9-130 and Aberfeldie made 4-164 in reply.
