The reality of modelling

A Sunshine West model is ready to step into the limelight, winning her way through as a regional finalist of Miss Multiverse Australia.

Enya McKernan, 18, will compete in Miss Multiverse Australia later this year, with the competition to be filmed and broadcast at a later date.

Miss Multiverse Australia is a reality TV contest, with modelling, physical and intellectual challenges throughout.

Ms McKernan said it was exciting to be a part of the show.

“It’s a bit like a beauty pageant and a reality TV show rolled into one, which is exciting,” Ms McKernan said.

“It’s kind of like

The Amazing Race. They filmed season one last year and it will be on TV this year … I’ll be in season two.

“I’m very grateful to make it to the regional finals, even if I don’t make the top 10, I’m grateful to experience it.”

The international version of the show is currently in its fourth season, and is broadcast across North and South America.

Ms McKernan will juggle the competition with her science teaching studies at Victoria University Footscray, as well as her martial arts training, two part-time jobs and modelling work.

She will start filming at a hair expo in June before the show’s challenges begin in August. A release date for the show will be announced at a later date.
