Women’s service lobbies Whittlesea candidates on health reform

A women’s health service is lobbying Whittlesea council candidates to support health reform.

Women’s Health in the North wants candidates to back a proposal for local government to implement an action plan to promote gender equality, prevent violence against women and improve other conditions for women.

“Local government councillors can have a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of women in their community,” said the group’s chief executive officer, Helen Riseborough.
