There will be new traffic lights on the entry ramps to the M80 Ring Road at Plenty Road (Altona-bound), Dalton Road (both directions) and Edgars Road (Greensborough-bound) as of this week.
The ramp signals, operating during peak hours, are to improve traffic flow by reducing weaving and merging on the Ring Road.
Work on the six-kilometre section from Edgars Road, Thomastown, to Plenty Road, Bundoora, including building two additional lanes each way, is due for completion in mid-2014.
