Worker injured after falling from Doreen roof

A worker is in hospital after falling 2.4 metres from a house under construction in Doreen this morning.

WorkSafe is investigating the accident, which happened on Midland Road.

It is understood the Kilmore worker was on top of a house frame marking the location of roof trusses when he fell about 8.10am.

Director of WorkSafe’s construction division Allan Beacom said working at height was a major source of serious workplace injuries and deaths, particularly in the construction sector.
