Cheer for Lalor East’s eSmart students

LALOR East Primary School is Victoria’s first primary school to complete the state government’s new cyber-bullying program.

The eSmart program is being rolled out in every government school and 300 selected Catholic and independent schools over three years.

It is designed to raise awareness about online safety and help children protect their digital reputations.

Principal Linda Baker said she was thrilled the school had achieved eSmart status. “This will have enormous benefits for our students by encouraging them to become safe and responsible cyber citizens,” she said.

Education minister Martin Dixon (pictured with Randy) dropped by to congratulate the school on completing the program.
