FRESH corruption allegations against council employees have been made in an anonymous letter to Whittlesea council.
An email – signed “residents of Whittlesea” – alleges corruption and bullying by the three council employees and threatens “mass protest” if the council fails to act.
The email was sent to all councillors, City of Whittlesea chief executive David Turnbull and the Victorian Ombudsman’s office on April 25.
The email is similar to others sent to the Northern Weekly in February and March.
Mr Turnbull said the council reserved the right to take legal action against the letter’s author, although he or she had yet to be identified.
Mr Turnbull confirmed in January that an Ombudsman’s investigation into corruption and bullying allegations at the council had finished.
But findings would not be released because of state law.
