DANGER 5 (MA15+)

SBS

THE surreal Danger 5 sprang to life on SBS from the fertile and seriously warped minds of Dario Russo and David Ashby. Ostensibly set during World War II, the series revolves around the heroic antics of a crack team of international sexpot heroes who do battle against a maniacal Hitler in a variety of increasingly ridiculous locales.

It may be the 1940s but the groovy style is lifted straight from ’60 exploitation movies, with an abundance of boobs, big hair and slinky short-skirted numbers.

With hilariously bad special effects, dodgy dubbing and hokey sets, it’s all firmly tongue in cheek, with Hitler crashing through the same window pane in every episode, whether the team’s fighting him in a Middle Eastern casino or the lost city of Atlantis.

Featuring everything from giant Nazi robots to rampaging dinosaurs, this hilariously high camp show is never boring.
