Ondarchie urges schools in north to spruce up for Victorian School Garden Awards

NORTHERN Metropolitan MLC Craig Ondarchie has called on local schools to spruce up their grounds and enter the Victorian School Garden Awards.

The program, now in its 35th year, teaches children about sustainability, growing food, recycling, waste reduction and water conservation. The overall prize pool is almost $80,000.
