MORE than 300 people became part of history last week when they caught the first trains between Epping and South Morang.
The $650 million South Morang Rail Extension Project includes new stations at Thomastown and Epping and a 3.5km track extension from Epping to South Morang.
South Morang Station was open to the public last weekend, Fran Cusworth and Teagan Glenane captured the excitement, below.
